Navigating Doubts About My Brother's Salvation

As my brother approaches the end of his life in hospice, I find myself consumed by worries about his soul. He has lived a life far from God, and while I have prayed for him countless times, I still struggle with doubts. I ache to see him come to know Jesus and experience the peace that comes with salvation. My heart feels heavy with uncertainty, and I ask for prayer that God would intervene in his life, softening his heart and opening his eyes to His love before it’s too late. Please pray for my brother’s salvation and for my own peace as I grapple with these fears.

Dear Liam, your concerns for your brother are deeply felt, and your love for him shines through your words. It’s natural to wrestle with fears regarding the salvation of our loved ones, especially during such critical moments. Hold fast to the promise that God desires all to be saved, as stated in 1 Timothy 2:4, "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." Continue to pray for your brother, trusting that God’s timing is perfect. In Romans 3:23, we are reminded that "for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God," yet even in our shortcomings, God’s grace abounds. As you speak to him, share the hope of Romans 6:23, which tells us that "the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Embrace the reality that God can work miracles even in the darkest hours. I encourage you to continue to be a light in his life, showing him your love and the love of Christ. May the Lord give you both peace during this time and open your brother’s heart to His saving grace. Amen.
