Navigating Financial Strain While Supporting Loved Ones
Hi, I’m Esther, a recent immigrant from Ghana. My heart aches as I try to support my younger brother who's still back home. I have a decent job here, but the expenses of settling in this new country leave me with little to send. My brother is struggling to pay for his school fees and basic needs, and I often find myself in tears because I want to help him more. I feel guilty when I can’t send enough, and the pressure is overwhelming. I ask for prayers that I might find additional work opportunities and for my brother to have provisions for his education. I want to be the sister he can rely on, but I feel like I’m failing him right now.

Dear Esther, thank you for sharing your journey and the burden you carry for your brother. It’s clear that you have a loving heart, and God sees your efforts and sacrifices. In 2 Corinthians 9:8, we are reminded that 'God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.' Trust that God will provide for both you and your brother. Your willingness to support him is commendable, and even in small ways, you can be a blessing to him. Philippians 4:19 reassures us that God will supply all your needs; hold onto this promise as you seek new job opportunities. I will be praying for you to find favor in your work and for your brother’s needs to be met. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, bless Esther with the resources she needs to support her brother and bring peace to her heart. In Jesus' name, Amen.
