Navigating Financial Stress as a Newly Single Parent
Hello, I’m reaching out for prayer as a newly single parent. After my recent separation, I'm struggling to keep my finances afloat while raising my two children. The bills keep piling up, and my job doesn’t seem to provide enough for us to live comfortably. I feel overwhelmed and sometimes defeated, questioning if I can truly support my kids the way they deserve. My faith is being tested daily, but I hold onto Matthew 25:21, that when we are faithful in little, we will be trusted with much. I desperately need prayer for financial stability and guidance on how to manage our resources effectively. Please pray that I find the right opportunities to increase my income and that I can be a strong example of faith to my children during this tough time.

Dear Lisa, I admire your courage in reaching out for prayer during this challenging season. Being a single parent is undeniably tough, and it’s natural to feel the pressures of financial strain. I want to encourage you that even in the midst of uncertainty, God is your provider. 1 Timothy 6:6 reminds us that godliness with contentment is great gain, and this can serve as a guiding principle for you as you navigate these waters. Remember that your worth and the worth of your children are not defined by your financial situation but by God’s love for you. I urge you to pray for wisdom as you make financial decisions and to seek help from resources within your community. Let us pray: Lord, I lift up Lisa and her children. Provide her with the financial support she needs and surround her with love and encouragement. Amen.
