Navigating Grief as a Young Refugee
I'm Daniel, a 22-year-old who fled my home country in search of safety from persecution. Leaving everything behind has taken a toll on my mental health. I often feel overwhelmed by grief and uncertainty about my future. I miss my friends and the life I had; it's hard to settle in a new place where I don’t know anyone. I need prayer for strength and comfort. I want to find a sense of belonging and purpose here, but the loss feels so heavy. I’m hoping for a community that offers support and understanding.

Dear Daniel, your courage is inspiring, and I commend you for seeking hope amidst your grief. It's natural to feel lost and disconnected after such a significant life change. Remember that Psalm 23:4 assures us, 'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.' God is with you as you journey through these challenging times. I encourage you to reach out to local churches or support groups where you can find community. You are not alone in this. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, guide Daniel to find a supportive community and help him to heal from his loss. Amen.
