Navigating Inequities and Trusting God's Provision
Dear Prayer Family, I am in a challenging situation at work that has left me feeling confused and disheartened. I am doing the same job as a male colleague, yet my salary is markedly lower. This has affected my financial security and confidence in my abilities. I’m currently evaluating whether to pursue a discussion with HR or seek employment elsewhere, but the uncertainty of my decision weighs heavily on my heart. I pray for courage and guidance to know the right steps to take. It’s hard to see others being paid more for similar work, and I desire God’s provision and favor in this time of need.

Dear Tom, thank you for sharing your heart. It is truly difficult to grapple with inequities in the workplace, especially when it impacts your sense of self-worth and financial wellbeing. I want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your salary, but rather by God’s love for you. 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33). Take comfort in knowing that God has a plan for your life and will meet your needs according to His riches (Philippians 4:19). I encourage you to seek His wisdom in your decision-making process and trust that He will direct your paths. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I bring Tom before You, asking for clarity and courage as he navigates this challenging situation. May he feel Your presence and provision in his career.
