Navigating Life After My Service Dog's Death
My heart aches from the loss of my service dog, Ruby. She was my best friend and a guiding light in my life. Her absence leaves me feeling disoriented and functionally disabled once again. I used to navigate through life with her by my side, and now everything feels more challenging. I’m finding it hard to cope with daily tasks and the loneliness that fills my days without her. I’m seeking prayers for comfort and strength to face this new reality. I also pray for hope that I will eventually be able to bond with another service dog who can help me as Ruby did. Thank you for lifting me up in prayer.

Senior Pastor, Bethel Church
Dear Alex, I’m so sorry to learn about Ruby’s passing. Your bond was one of a kind, and it’s natural to feel disoriented and alone in her absence. Please know that God is with you, even in the depths of your pain. 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart' (Psalm 34:18) and He will provide you comfort in your sorrow. Remember that in our weakness, God’s strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Treasure the memories of Ruby and allow yourself to grieve, but also keep your heart open to the possibilities of the future. God has a plan for you, and He will guide your steps as you heal. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, I pray for Alex today. Wrap him in Your loving arms and comfort his heart. Help him find strength and hope amid this sorrow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
