Navigating Parenting Fears in New Situations
Heavenly Father, as a new parent, I find myself overwhelmed with the fear of making mistakes. I often question whether I am doing enough for my child and worry about their future. This fear has made me hesitant to take risks in parenting, like trying new things or allowing them to explore. I don’t want to hold them back, but I am so afraid of failure. Please grant me confidence in my role and help me to trust in Your guidance. Remind me that I am not alone in this journey of parenthood. Amen.

Dear Ashley, thank you for sharing your concerns with us. Parenting is one of life’s greatest challenges, and it’s natural to feel fear about the responsibility it brings. Remember that God is with you every step of the way. In Lamentations 3:22, we see that 'It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.' Allow this truth to wash over you as you navigate the highs and lows of parenting. God has equipped you with everything you need to care for your child. In Philippians 4:6, we are reminded, 'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' Trust Him to support you in every decision you face. Let’s lift a prayer together: Lord, grant Ashley peace and the knowledge that You are guiding her as she raises her child. Amen.
