Navigating Racial Bias in My Workplace
My name is Kevin, and I am struggling with racial bias at work. I work in a predominantly white environment, and I often feel overlooked and marginalized. I find myself having to work twice as hard to prove my worth, and it's exhausting. I feel anxious every day, trying to fit in and not be judged solely based on the color of my skin. I've tried documenting instances of bias, but it feels like my efforts are falling on deaf ears. I am asking for prayer for strength, clarity, and the ability to stand up for myself without fear. I want to be able to serve God in my workplace without fear of discrimination.

Dear Kevin, thank you for sharing your heart. It's painful to hear about the struggles you face daily, but I want to remind you that God sees you and your efforts. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises us, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' This means that He has a plan for your life, including your career. I encourage you to lean into your faith and know that your worth is not defined by others’ perceptions but by who God says you are. Psalm 139:14 reassures us that we are wonderfully made, and it’s crucial to embrace that truth. As you take steps forward, seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), trusting that He will guide and provide you with the strength to overcome these challenges. I will lift you in prayer that God grants you the courage to speak out and the wisdom to navigate your workplace with grace.
