Navigating the Invisible Battle of Illness
As a 29-year-old single mother, I am overwhelmed by my struggle with an autoimmune disorder that seems to fluctuate with no clear cause. I often find myself bedridden, and my daughter, who's just five, doesn't fully understand why I can't play with her as I used to. Some days, I feel like I’m failing her. The isolation I experience is deepened by the lack of a diagnosis, making it hard for others to grasp my pain. I’m reaching out for prayer, asking for strength to manage these daily battles and for healing that would allow me to be the mother my daughter needs. I desperately want to find a way to connect with my child and engage in life again.

Dear Megan, your heartache and longing to be present for your daughter are truly touching. God sees your struggles and knows your desire to be fully engaged in her life. In 3 John 1:2, it says, 'Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.' This illustrates God’s wish for our overall well-being, including our health. Remember that you are not alone in this; Jesus carried our sickness and pain (Isaiah 53:5), and He is there to bear your burdens. I encourage you to lean into community support, whether it’s through friends, family, or church. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, we lift up Megan to You, asking for strength, healing, and a renewed connection with her daughter. Surround her with Your love and peace. Amen.
