Navigating the Pain of Adoption Rejection
As a single mother yearning to adopt, I am experiencing heartbreak as my recent adoption match has fallen through. I felt an instant connection with the child, and to now be told it’s not happening has left me feeling lost and bereft. I believed this was God's will for my life, and now I feel so disheartened and confused. Please pray that I can find solace in my faith and understand that God has a larger plan for me and this child. Pray that I don’t lose hope in my dream of building a family and that God brings the right child into my life at the right time.

Dear Natalie, I truly empathize with your pain and disappointment. It can be devastating when things do not go as we envisioned, especially when it involves something as dear as family. Remember that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). This is a time to lean into Him and trust that His plan is greater than your own. Ephesians 3:20 tells us that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Though it’s hard to see now, there is hope and restoration waiting for you. Allow this season to deepen your trust in Him. Let's pray together: Lord, I ask that you surround Natalie with Your peace and hope, reminding her that her family is in Your capable hands. Amen.
