Overcoming Anxiety Before Big Meetings
As a 29-year-old consultant, I'm often required to present ideas in high-stake meetings. However, my anxiety can paralyze me before these events. I worry that my thoughts will scatter and I will forget what I want to say. The pressure feels immense, and I often replay my presentations in my mind, fearing failure. This anxiety affects not only my job but my personal life as well, making me feel inadequate. I’m seeking prayer for calmness and the ability to articulate my ideas clearly when it matters most. I want to honor God through my work and not allow fear to hold me back.

Dear Sophia, thank you for sharing your struggle with anxiety in your work. It’s clear that this challenge weighs heavily on you. Remember that God is a steady anchor in times of trouble, as stated in Psalm 46:1, where He is described as our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In moments of preparation, take time to seek His guidance—this is a powerful way to ground yourself. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are reminded to cast all our cares upon Him, for He cares for us. When you feel your thoughts scattering, pause to breathe deeply and invite God into those moments. He desires for you to succeed, not just for your own sake but as a testimony of His faithfulness. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, grant Sophia the strength and clarity she needs during her presentations, and help her to trust in Your presence. Amen.
