Overcoming Doubts from Past Church Hurt
Hi, I’m Marcus, a 27-year-old. I’ve been struggling with doubt in my faith because of hurtful experiences I’ve had within my church. I invested so much time and energy in church activities, only to be met with criticism and gossip. This has left me feeling alienated and questioning whether I truly belong in the body of Christ. I feel stuck between wanting to attend church again and fearing further rejection. I am reaching out for prayer for healing from this hurt and the faith to trust people again, even if it’s scary.

Dear Marcus, thank you for sharing what’s on your heart. It’s incredibly challenging to face doubts when you’ve been hurt by those who should be supportive. I want to remind you that God is never the source of hurt in your life; people fall short, but He remains faithful. Proverbs 3:5 says, 'Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.' As you navigate these feelings, lean into God's unwavering love and remind yourself of His promises. Remember, healing takes time, but it’s worth the journey. God desires to bring you back into community where you can be supported and loved. As you step forward, pray for the strength to open your heart, and trust that God will guide you through this process. Let’s pray together for your healing and restoration in your faith journey.
