Overcoming Fear in Professional Presentations
Hello, I’m Emily, a 31-year-old project manager. I experience crippling anxiety when I am asked to present my team's work to executives. My palms get sweaty, my heart races, and I often forget my points. I find it hard to convey how proud I am of my team's efforts because I get so caught up in the fear of failing. This anxiety is affecting my job performance, and I want to ask for prayers for God to help me find peace and confidence. I believe that my team deserves to be represented well, and I want to be bold and articulate when I present.

Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It's commendable that you want to represent your team well. Remember, God is our refuge amid fear. As it says in Psalm 46:1, He is a very present help in trouble. You are not defined by your anxiety but by the strength God has placed within you. In moments of doubt, lean on Philippians 4:13, which tells us that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. I encourage you to practice mindfulness and breathe deeply before your presentations, inviting God’s presence to calm your spirit. Your passion for your team and your work will shine through when you trust in His strength. Let’s pray together: Lord, I lift Emily to You. Please grant her the peace and confidence she needs to present with clarity and joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
