Overcoming Fear of Abandonment in Motherhood
As a mother of three, I find myself plagued by anxiety stemming from my childhood experiences. My parents were emotionally distant, and I often felt abandoned despite being in the same house. Now, I worry about not being a good enough mother, fearing that my children might feel the same way I did. I find myself overcompensating and pushing them away with my anxiety. I desperately want to break this cycle and show them the love and security they deserve. Please pray for me to find peace and reassurance in my role as a mother.

Dear Tamara, thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your struggles. It’s clear that you have a deep desire to love and nurture your children. In Psalm 91:1, we are reminded that 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.' Embrace that closeness with God, for He is your refuge and strength. The fears you have experienced can be transformed by His love. Remember, as you navigate motherhood, that 'His mercies are new every morning' (Lamentations 3:23). You are doing the best you can, and God's grace covers you. Pray for wisdom and peace, and trust that He will empower you to break free from these chains of fear. Let us pray that you find rest in Him and the assurance that you are a beloved mother.
