Overcoming Fear of Rejection in My Faith Journey
My name is Leo, and I’m struggling to reconcile my faith with my identity as a gay man. I’ve grown up in a conservative environment that views my orientation as sinful. The fear of rejection from my church family has kept me from being truly open about who I am. I want to deepen my relationship with God, but sometimes, I feel like I’m not worthy of His love. I’m seeking prayers for courage to live authentically and to trust that God’s love is bigger than my fears. I hope for the strength to embrace my identity while continuing to grow in faith.

Dear Leo, thank you for sharing your struggles. It’s so important to acknowledge the fear you are feeling; it is a natural response to such a significant journey. First and foremost, please remember that you are created in God's image and are deserving of love, as stated in Genesis 1:27. God’s love is not conditional, and it envelops all of us, regardless of our fears or struggles. I encourage you to meditate on John 14:27, where Jesus offers peace that the world cannot give. As you step out in faith, trust that the Holy Spirit is with you, guiding you in this process. Surround yourself with those who reflect God’s grace and love, and know that you are not alone in this journey. I pray that God grants you courage and fills your heart with His peace as you navigate your identity with Him. You are loved more than you can imagine.
