Overcoming Internal Struggles of Faith and Acceptance

As a bi-curious believer, I find myself bombarded with shame and confusion regarding my faith and my feelings. I often feel like I’m living a double life, hiding parts of myself from my church friends while trying to stay true to my faith. It’s a constant tug-of-war in my heart about whether I am worthy of God’s love or if I’m straying too far from His path. I truly want to grow spiritually, but I need clarity on how to navigate these feelings without compromising my faith. Please pray for me as I seek understanding, grace, and the ability to fully embrace my whole self in Christ.

Dear Jordan, know that your feelings of confusion and shame are valid, and you are not alone. God sees your struggle, and He desires for you to come to Him as you are. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites us to come to Him with our burdens: 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' It’s important to realize that God's love for you is not based on your feelings but on His grace. Romans 8:38 assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. As you seek clarity, remember that it is okay to ask questions and seek wisdom (James 1:5). Surround yourself with supportive believers who can help guide you through this journey. I pray that you find peace and strength in your relationship with God, embracing the fullness of who He created you to be. Amen.
