Overcoming Social Media Anxiety in Ministry
I’m Jason, and as someone who has recently stepped into a church leadership role, I feel the weight of responsibility to share God’s word through social media. However, every time I think about posting something, I get anxious. I worry about what others will think and if I’ll say the wrong thing. I want to be bold for Christ, but I often feel like a beginner in using these platforms. I ask for prayer for confidence and clarity in my messaging and that I could effectively engage with others in a way that brings glory to God.

Dear Jason, stepping into a leadership role is both exciting and daunting. Your awareness of the need for careful communication is a sign of maturity in your faith journey. Remember, God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Trust in His guidance as you navigate social media. John 15:5 reminds us that apart from Him, we can do nothing. Stay connected to Christ, and He will provide the strength you need to share messages filled with His truth. Ephesians 2:9 states, 'Not of works, lest any man should boast.' This means that your value doesn’t come from how many likes you get but from your identity as a beloved child of God. I will be praying for you to experience peace as you create content that reflects His love and truth. May your posts draw others closer to Him. Amen.
