Overcoming the Constant Weight of Anxiety
I'm Raj, a 42-year-old immigrant who feels an unshakeable low-level dread that lingers throughout my day. As a husband and father, I try to be the rock for my family, but this anxiety makes me feel weak and distant. I realize it stems from many uncertainties around my work situation and the responsibilities of providing for my loved ones. I want to feel joy again, but each day is a struggle with an invisible weight on my heart. I ask for prayers to break this cycle of anxiety, so I can fully embrace my family and not let this fear define me. I long to experience God’s peace which I know is promised in the Scriptures.

Senior Pastor, Grace Community Church
Dear Raj, thank you for opening up and sharing your struggle. It’s understandable to feel the weight of such heavy responsibilities, and the anxiety that comes with it can be overwhelming. However, I encourage you to remember that God cares for you deeply. In Lamentations 3:23, we are reminded of His mercies being new every morning, and you can find solace in that promise. Cast your cares upon Him, for He wants to lift that burden from your shoulders (1 Peter 5:7). He assures us, in Philippians 4:6-7, that if we bring our anxieties to Him in prayer, the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds. I will pray for you to experience His profound peace and clarity in the coming days. May you feel His love surrounding you. Amen.
