Overcoming the Fear of Surrendering My Dreams
At 36 years old, I have always been driven by my dreams and ambitions. Lately, I've felt God calling me to surrender these dreams, but the fear of letting go has been overwhelming. I worry that if I give up my aspirations, I will lose my sense of purpose and identity. I know deep down that God has a greater plan for me, but the thought of not following my dreams scares me. I ask for prayers to help me trust God and understand that His plans for me are far greater than I can imagine.

Dear Sarah, thank you for sharing your struggle with surrendering your dreams. It’s common to feel afraid when faced with the prospect of letting go, but God has an incredible plan for your life. As you navigate this fear, remember that ‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end’ (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV). Trusting Him means believing that His plans are better than our own. In Matthew 17:20, Jesus reminds us that faith, even as small as a mustard seed, can move mountains. When we trust Him with our dreams, we open ourselves up to a future that is filled with His purpose and direction. Let’s pray for the courage to take that leap of faith in surrendering. Amen.
