Overcoming the Shadows of Sleepless Nights
Hello, my name is Carlos, and I have been dealing with anxiety-driven insomnia for over two years. As a college student, my sleepless nights come with overwhelming thoughts about grades, future job prospects, and living up to my family’s expectations. The darkness that surrounds me during these times feels heavy, and I often find myself feeling hopeless. I am reaching out for prayer and support, hoping to find peace and to be able to sleep soundly again. I know I need God's light in this darkness, and I'm praying for the courage to seek help and the strength to overcome this ongoing battle.

Dear Carlos, thank you for sharing such a raw and honest part of your journey. It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed, especially during such a pivotal time in your life. Remember that God has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, as He reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11. You must turn to Him in your sleepless hours, for in 1 Peter 5:7, He tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him. He wants to be your refuge amid the storms of your thoughts. I encourage you to create a calming nighttime routine, perhaps incorporating prayer and Scripture reading to help you find that peace before sleep. Let’s pray: ‘Heavenly Father, I ask for comfort and rest for Carlos. Shine Your light into his darkness, bringing him peace and restful nights. Amen.’
