Overwhelmed by Debt and Despair
Hello, I’m Ava. I recently graduated with a degree in education, but I now find myself overwhelmed by my student loans and the reality that teaching positions are scarce. I worked so hard for this degree, yet it feels like it may not pay off. I’m currently working as a substitute teacher, which doesn’t provide the financial stability I was hoping for. Each month, I feel the anxiety of making my loan payments while barely scraping by. It’s disheartening, and I often question whether I made the right choices in pursuing this path. I’m reaching out for prayer for financial relief and direction. I want to trust that God has a plan for me, but I need His help to see the way forward.

Dear Ava, thank you for sharing your struggle. It’s understandable to feel disheartened when the future seems uncertain, especially after investing so much into your education. God knows your heart and the sacrifices you have made. Remember, as it says in Philippians 4:6-7, we should not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, present your requests to God. He will give you peace that transcends understanding. Take comfort in Psalm 37:4, as it assures us that if we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts. Keep seeking Him; your journey is part of His greater plan for your life. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, I ask that you guide Ava as she navigates these challenges and that she finds peace and reassurance in your love and provision. Amen.
