Overwhelmed by Questions of Life After Death
As I age and see friends and family experiencing health issues and passing away, I find myself consumed by thoughts of death and what comes next. I’m a 55-year-old woman who has always had faith, but these thoughts seem to overshadow it lately. I am plagued with questions: Is there really an afterlife? Will I be reunited with loved ones? This fear is turning into anxiety, and I feel like I’m losing my connection to God. Please pray for me to find peace and assurance in my faith during this turbulent time.

Dear Rosa, your feelings are completely understandable, and I commend you for reaching out during this challenging time. The fear of death often brings up deep existential questions, but we can find comfort in God’s Word. In Psalm 91:1, we learn that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Take refuge in Him and His promises. The hope of eternal life is a cornerstone of our faith. In John 3:16, we are promised that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. God assures us that death is not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter in His presence. Remember, in Romans 8:38-39, we are reminded that nothing can separate us from the love of God, not even death. I will be praying for you to feel His overwhelming peace and to strengthen your faith, knowing that love and promise await you. May you find comfort and reassurance in His everlasting arms.
