Overwhelmed by the Journey of Church Leadership
I am a recent graduate with a passion for ministry, and I've been feeling called to plant a church in my community. However, I am overwhelmed by the weight of this responsibility. My heart is filled with dreams of what this church could be, but I constantly doubt my abilities. What if I fail? What if the community isn’t receptive? Sometimes, these fears paralyze me, and I struggle to see how I can lead effectively. I ask for prayers to strengthen my faith and to remind me that God is sovereign over all my worries. I seek guidance on how to move forward with confidence and clarity from Him.

Dear Jessica, your desire to serve and lead is a beautiful testament to your heart for God and His people. It's understandable to feel overwhelmed by the responsibilities that come with such a calling. Remember that God promises us in Isaiah 40:31 that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. It is in Him that you will find the strength to overcome your fears. Trust in God’s plan, which is always good, as confirmed in Romans 8:39, that nothing can separate us from the love of God. As you seek His guidance, hold onto the truth of Philippians 4:6-7—do not be anxious, but present your requests to God, and His peace will guard your heart. I will pray for you, that you may find clarity and courage as you step into this calling.
