Paralyzed by Doubt: A Student's Struggle
Dear God, as I approach my final exams, I feel completely overwhelmed by fear and self-doubt. The pressure to succeed in my studies has caused me immense anxiety. I worry that if I fail these exams, I will let my family down and ruin my future. My friends seem so confident, while I struggle to even focus on my studies. I've stayed up late, stressing over every little detail, which only makes everything worse. Sometimes I wonder if I’m cut out for this path at all. Please pray for me to find peace and clarity in this challenging time. I need Your strength to overcome my fears and trust in the hard work I’ve put in. Amen.

Pastor Rachel Greene
Missions Pastor, First Baptist Church
Dear Emma, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s common to feel anxious during times of great pressure, especially with something as important as exams. Remember, God is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). He wants you to know that your worth is not defined by your performance, but by His love for you. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). As you prepare for your exams, seek His guidance and remember to take breaks. Focus on doing your best rather than striving for perfection. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, letting your requests be made known to God. Let’s lift you up in prayer: Father God, I ask that You grant Emma the peace she needs during this stressful time. Keep her mind focused and calm, and may she find comfort in Your everlasting love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
