Prayers for My Father’s Heart in His Time of Need
I write this with a heavy heart, knowing that my father, who has always been skeptical about faith, is facing a serious surgery. Despite my attempts over the years to share the love of Christ with him, he has never been open to the message of salvation. As he prepares for this surgery, I feel a deep urgency for him to turn to Jesus. What if this is his last chance? I am filled with fear and anxiety, not just for his physical health, but for the state of his soul. I pray that God would send someone into his life to speak the truth, or that God would reach out to him in an undeniable way. Please pray that my father’s heart would be open and receptive to the Gospel before it’s too late.

Dear Michael, your concern for your father's spiritual health is profound, and I want to reassure you that God hears your prayers. It’s understandable to feel anxiety in such a pivotal moment in your father’s life. Remember, even the most hardened hearts can be transformed by the Lord’s touch. In Luke 15:7, we learn that 'there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.' This illustrates how much God cares for every individual, including your father. Continue to lift him up in prayer, knowing that the Holy Spirit is working even when we cannot see it. As you have mentioned, God can use this time of surgery as a catalyst for change. Encourage your father with love and compassion, and don’t hesitate to share the hope that you have in Christ. I will be praying for both you and your father, trusting that God will reveal Himself in a mighty way. Let us pray: Lord, we ask for a miraculous opening of Michael's father’s heart to receive You. Amen.
