Prayers for My Partner's Recovery from Substance Abuse
I am a 38-year-old wife, and my husband is struggling with a serious substance abuse issue. His addiction has not only affected him but has made our home unsafe for our children. I feel so lost and alone, trying to manage the household while he battles his demons. I pray for God to intervene and bring him to a place of healing. I want nothing more than to feel safe in my own home and for my children to grow up in a loving and secure environment. I ask for prayers that my husband finds the strength to get help and that we can come together as a family once again. Please pray for our safety and restoration.

Dear Angela, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It takes immense courage to ask for help, especially in such a difficult situation. The struggle with substance abuse can be incredibly consuming, but remember that nothing is impossible for God. Philippians 4:13 tells us, 'I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.' This means your husband can find strength in Christ to overcome his addiction. Your desire for a safe home for your children reflects God’s love for families, as seen in 1 Corinthians 13:4, which describes love as patient and kind. I encourage you to continue praying for your husband while also taking steps to create a safe space for your children. Emotional and physical safety is paramount. Let’s pray together now: Lord, I lift Angela and her family into Your healing hands. Please grant her husband the strength to seek recovery, and provide safety and peace to their home. Amen.
