Praying for Forgiveness and Restoration in Marriage
I’m a 45-year-old husband struggling with the pain of my wife's affair. Each day is a battle between anger and the desire to rebuild our marriage. I want to forgive her, but I’m finding it hard to let go of the hurt. Please pray for me as I navigate these complicated feelings. I want to be a faithful husband and father, and I believe God can restore our marriage if we let Him into our hearts. I need wisdom to understand whether staying together will be beneficial for both of us and our children. I yearn for peace in our home and healing for our family.

Dear James, thank you for your openness in sharing your struggles. It’s completely normal to feel conflicted in the aftermath of betrayal. Remember that healing is a journey, and it starts with God. In Colossians 3:13, we are reminded to forgive one another as the Lord forgave us, which is a powerful step toward restoration. Your desire to be a faithful husband and father is commendable. In 1 Peter 4:8, we learn that love covers all wrongs, and this love can be found through committed prayer and reflection. Let us pray for God to grant you peace and discernment as you take each step forward in this healing process.
