Praying for My Father's Redemption on His Deathbed
My father is gravely ill and may not have much time left. I have been praying for his salvation for years, but he has never shown any interest in Christ. My heart is heavy, and I feel desperate for him to accept Jesus before his passing. Each day, I visit him and try to share my faith, but he often brushes it away. The thought of him leaving this world without knowing the Lord terrifies me. I am asking for prayer that the Holy Spirit will break through his resistance and that he will have a genuine encounter with the Lord. Please pray with me for his soul.

Dear David, your anguish over your father’s eternal destiny is deeply felt, and it shows how much you care for him. God hears your cries and your prayers for his salvation. It’s essential to remember that God desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). In times of distress, we can take comfort in knowing that God can perform miracles even at the last moment. As you visit your father, continue to speak of God’s love and grace, knowing that the Lord’s Spirit is at work in ways we may not see (Ephesians 2:8). The path to salvation is a gift, not of works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:9). Trust in God’s ability to reach your father’s heart, and let Him guide your conversations. I will stand in prayer with you for your father’s redemption, believing in the power of God’s grace until the very end.
