Praying for My Friend's Heart to Turn to Christ
My friend, David, has always been curious about faith but hasn’t committed to following Christ yet. He struggles with addiction and often uses it as an excuse to stay away from church and spirituality. I’ve been trying to encourage him to seek help and to find hope in God, but he seems resistant, believing he is unworthy of grace. I want him to know that no one is beyond the reach of God’s love. I pray that God would show him His mercy and help him to see that salvation is a gift available to him. Please pray that David’s heart would be softened, and that he would take steps toward a relationship with Christ.

Dear Marcus, it is evident that you carry a deep love for David, and your desire for him to find healing in Christ is heartfelt. Remember that Jesus came to save those who are lost and broken (Luke 19:10). Let David know that God loves him and that 'all have sinned and come short of the glory of God' (Romans 3:23), but His grace is sufficient for every struggle. Encourage him to lean on the truth of Ephesians 2:8, which reminds us that salvation is a free gift. As you journey alongside him, pray earnestly for his heart to be open to receiving this message of hope. Let’s pray: "God, we ask that You work in David’s life, drawing him close to You and filling him with Your grace. Amen."
