Praying for My Friend's Salvation in a Dark Time
My dear friend Lucas has been battling terminal cancer for several months now. It’s painful to see him suffer, and even more difficult knowing he never accepted Christ as his Savior. We grew up together, sharing dreams and fears, but when it came to faith, he always pushed it away. I’ve tried to talk to him about Jesus, but he often brushes me off. As his health deteriorates, I feel an urgency to pray for his soul. I want him to experience the peace that comes from knowing Christ, especially during times of such uncertainty and pain. Please pray that God will soften his heart and that he will come to a saving faith before it's too late. I fear that time is running out.

Dear Samuel, thank you for reaching out and sharing your heart about Lucas. It is truly heartbreaking to see a friend in pain, and your concern for his eternal well-being is commendable. Remember, God loves Lucas deeply and desires for him to be saved, as we read in 1 Timothy 2:4, 'Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.' Your prayers are powerful, and God hears them. It’s also important to trust that God can work in Lucas' heart in ways we may not understand yet. In Ezekiel 18:23, we see God's desire for repentance, 'Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?' Continue to share the love of Christ with him, even in small ways, reminding him of the hope found in Jesus. As it says in Acts 4:12, 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.' I will join you in prayer for Lucas, that he may encounter God’s grace in his final days. May the peace of God be with you both during this time.
