Praying for My Mother’s Heart to Embrace Christ
As my mother battles advanced cancer, I feel a profound urgency for her soul. She has always been skeptical of faith, which has led to many difficult conversations between us. I want nothing more than to see her accept Christ and experience His incredible peace and salvation. Her time is limited, and I find myself struggling with the right words to reach her heart. I pray for her to be open to the gospel and for the Holy Spirit to touch her soul. Please pray for my strength and for her to embrace the truth of Christ before it’s too late.

Dear Jessica, I am deeply moved by your love and concern for your mother. It is a heavy burden to bear when someone we love is facing terminal illness, especially when they are distant from faith. You are right to seek God’s guidance in your conversations with her. Ephesians 2:8 reminds us, 'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.' Reflect on sharing that grace with her, illustrating that salvation is a gift ready for her to receive. Trust that God is working in her heart, even if it doesn’t appear so on the surface. In John 10:10, Jesus tells us He came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly. This includes the promise of eternal life through Him. Be encouraged as you continue to pray and speak truth to her. Let’s pray together that God will soften her heart and open her eyes to His love and mercy. May you find peace in your journey together. In Jesus' name, Amen.
