Praying for My Neighbor Frank's Heart
Frank, a retired veteran living next door, often sits on his porch reminiscing about his past. While he has many stories from his service, I can't help but notice he seems to be missing a sense of purpose as he navigates these golden years. As we’ve chatted, I've felt compelled to share the gospel with him, but I’m worried about how he might react. I know he has some skepticism about faith, and I want to approach this carefully. Please pray that God would give me the courage to bring up spiritual topics and that Frank’s heart would be open to hearing about Jesus. I want him to know that there is hope and meaning beyond his earthly experiences. Thank you for keeping Frank and our conversations in your prayers.

Dear Brian, I appreciate your heart for Frank and your desire to share the gospel with him. It’s clear that you recognize his need for a deeper purpose, and God can use you to speak into that void. Remember that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and that He longs for all to know the truth (John 14:6). Approach your conversations with love and patience; every word you share can plant seeds of faith. Let Frank see your genuine care for him, which can lead him to inquire about your faith. God has given us the Great Commission to share the good news (Matthew 28:19-20). Let’s pray for Frank’s heart to be opened to receive the gospel. Lord, we ask for your grace to surround Frank and to guide Brian in sharing your truth with him. Amen.
