Praying for My Son’s Missionary Journey
My son is preparing to head out on a missionary journey to an unreached tribe, and as a mother, I am filled with both pride and worry. I pray for his safety and that he is fully guided by the Holy Spirit in every situation he encounters. I am concerned about the potential dangers he may face, both physically and spiritually, as he learns to adapt to a new culture while maintaining his faith. It comforts me to think that God has a purpose for him in this mission. I ask for prayers that he would be a light in darkness and that his efforts would lead to many coming to know Christ.

Dear Karen, I understand your concerns for your son deeply; it’s a natural feeling for a loving mother. But take heart in knowing that God is in control. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, saying, 'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' Your son is embarking on a journey that can change lives, and God promises in Isaiah 41:10, 'Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.' Trust that the Lord will protect him and guide him. The work he is doing is vital as Romans 10:15 declares, 'How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace.' Let’s pray for his mission: Heavenly Father, cover Karen’s son with Your protection and peace. May his journey be fruitful and impactful. Amen.
