Praying for My Son's Strength Through His Treatment
My son, just 15 years old, was diagnosed with cancer last month. As a father, I feel utterly devastated. He has always been a fighter, but now he seems so fragile. The treatments are tough, and each week feels like a new battle. I often find myself at a loss for words when he needs encouragement, and I worry about the emotional toll this is taking on him. I pray for his strength, both physically and emotionally, and for him to have the courage to face what lies ahead. I ask for prayers that God gives him resilience and that he may feel the love and support from everyone around him as we stand together in this fight.

Dear David, my heart goes out to you and your son during this challenging time. It is incredibly difficult to witness your child endure such hardship, but I want to remind you of God’s promise to us. In Jeremiah 30:17, we read, 'For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord.' Cling tightly to this promise as you navigate these dark days. Your son's spirit and determination are commendable, and it’s vital that he knows he is not alone. Matthew 11:28 reminds us, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.' Encourage him to lean on God and understand that there is strength in rest and surrender. Also, as you both journey together, pray for peace and comfort. Philippians 4:7 encourages us that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. I will keep you both in my prayers, asking God to heal your son and to give you strength as a family.
