Praying for My Teen's Work Confidence
Dear Lord, I bring my son, Ethan, before You, as he adjusts to his first job. He has been feeling insecure about his abilities and is afraid of disappointing his boss. This fear is paralyzing him and preventing him from performing to the best of his potential. I pray that You grant him confidence and the understanding that it’s okay to make mistakes; they are part of learning. Help him to develop a strong work ethic and to see the value in hard work. I ask that You surround him with supportive colleagues who will encourage him and help him grow. Thank you for always being present in our lives, guiding us toward Your plans.

Dear James, thank you for sharing your concerns for Ethan. It’s common for young adults to feel overwhelmed in new positions, but God has a purpose for this experience. Encourage Ethan to lean on the Word for strength. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." This promise can empower him to overcome his fears. It’s also important for him to remember Proverbs 10:22, "The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it," indicating that working hard for God’s glory leads to fulfillment and joy. Encourage him to ask for help—it's a sign of strength, not weakness, as Proverbs 22:29 shows us that diligence brings honor. I will be praying for Ethan’s courage and growth in his new role. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, we lift Ethan up to You. May he find strength and confidence in You, knowing that he is capable of great things. In Jesus' name, Amen.
