Praying for Peace in an Uncertain School Environment
As a grandmother raising my 11-year-old grandson, my heart is heavy with anxiety regarding his school safety. The stories we hear today about violence in schools terrify me. I find myself constantly worrying and praying to God for his protection. I want him to flourish and enjoy his studies, but I struggle to keep my fears from affecting him. I pray for guidance and strength and that I may instill in him a sense of security and confidence. Please pray with me that we can both find comfort in God's encompassing love and protection. Dear Evelyn, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It is clear that you care deeply for your grandson, and it's completely normal for you to feel anxious as you adapt to raising him in this environment. Remember, God is our ultimate protector and refuge. Psalm 91:1 tells us, 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.' Your prayers are powerful, and God hears every plea. As you guide your grandson, remind him of Romans 8:15, which states, 'For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.' Encourage him to trust in God’s protection. Together, as family, you can build a strong foundation of faith. Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we lift Evelyn and her grandson to You. Surround them with Your peace and help them find comfort in Your promises. Amen.
