Praying for Relief from Overwhelming Sensory Anxiety
My name is Emily, and I’m a 30-year-old who has been battling a significant amount of anxiety related to my sensory sensitivity. Everyday noises and sights can throw me into a state of panic, making it incredibly difficult to function. I feel like I’m constantly on edge, and it’s hard to find peace anywhere. Dear Emily, thank you for sharing your prayer request with such honesty. It’s vital to bring our fears and anxieties before the Lord, and I want to assure you that He hears you. Psalm 91:1 tells us, 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.' I encourage you to seek that secret place in prayer, where you can find shelter from your anxieties. Remember, God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Take these truths to heart as you seek His peace.
