Praying for Renewal During Night Shifts
My name is Elena, and I’m a single mother working night shifts at a hospital. While I’m thankful for my job, it can be tiring and leaves me feeling drained and disconnected from my children. I feel guilty when I can’t be there for their bedtime, and I often find myself questioning if I’m doing the right thing for our family. I’m seeking prayers for renewal and strength during my night shifts so that I can provide for my children while also nurturing our bond. It’s hard to juggle the demands of work and motherhood, and I hope to find peace in my heart and clarity in my decisions.

Dear Elena, thank you for reaching out and sharing your situation. Your commitment as a single mother is inspiring, and it’s clear that your heart is in the right place. Working night shifts can be especially challenging, but I want to remind you that God is with you every step of the way. Philippians 4:19 assures us, 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' Trust that He is providing for you and your children, even when days are tough. Remember too, that Psalm 46:1 states, 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.' Lean into that promise during your shifts, and know you are never alone. It’s also important to create those small moments of connection with your children, even during the day, allowing them to feel your love in different ways. I will pray for you for supernatural strength, wisdom in your decisions, and renewed spirit during this challenging time. May you find peace and comfort in God’s presence.
