Praying for Safety in My Child's School Environment
As a mother of two, I often find myself overwhelmed by anxiety regarding my children's safety at school. With recent news about school incidents, my heart aches every morning as I drop them off. I worry if they are safe, if their teachers are prepared, and if I am doing enough as a parent. I pray for protection over them, for peace of mind that I can’t seem to find, and for wisdom to guide me in these uncertain times. I wish I could just trust that everything will be okay, but fear keeps creeping in. Please pray that I can hand over my anxiety to God and rest in His promises of safety and comfort. Thank you.

Dear Jessica, thank you for sharing your heart with us. It’s completely natural for a parent to feel anxious about their child’s safety in today’s world. Remember that you are not alone in this journey. The Lord is a refuge for those who seek Him. Psalm 91:1 beautifully reminds us, 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.' Trust that God is watching over your children even when you can’t be with them. It’s important to bring your worries to Him, just as Philippians 4:6 advises: 'Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.' Let His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). I encourage you to establish a routine of prayer for your children each morning before school. Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father, we pray for Jessica and her children. Surround them with Your protection and fill Jessica’s heart with Your peace. Amen.
