Reaching Out: A Young Man's Hope for Family Unity
Hello, my name is Ethan. I've recently decided to follow Christ while serving my time in prison, but my family is struggling to accept this change. They think I’m just trying to make excuses for my past mistakes instead of truly transforming. It pains me to think they don’t believe in my new faith, especially when it means so much to me. I pray every day for their understanding and for God to work in their hearts. Please pray that I can communicate my faith effectively and that they would see the genuine change in me. I deeply desire their support and love in this new journey, as it would mean the world to me. I want them to experience the grace and mercy of God that I have found.

Dear Ethan, your courage in sharing your faith is inspiring. It’s completely understandable to feel a mixture of joy in your transformation and sadness in your family’s skepticism. Remember, the journey of faith is often a process not just for us, but for those around us as well. In John 10:10, Jesus tells us He came to give us life and that more abundantly. Your new life is a testament to His promise. Be patient with your family as they navigate their feelings; sometimes it takes time for others to trust the changes they see in us. Your sincere prayers, along with God’s grace, can soften their hearts (Ephesians 2:9). Keep reaching out with love and patience. I will be praying for the Holy Spirit to guide your words and for peace in your family’s hearts as they witness your journey. May God bless you as you continue to grow and share your faith. Amen.
