Reaching Out After Years of Silence with My Brother
For the past three years, I have not spoken to my brother. It all started with a financial dispute that spiraled out of control, resulting in harsh words and hurt feelings. I often think about the times we played together as kids, and I can't help but feel a deep ache in my heart for our lost brotherhood. I’ve been praying for clarity on how to approach him and how to apologize for my part in this conflict. I want to mend the rift that has formed between us and restore the bond we once had. I ask for prayers that I can find the right time and words to reach out, and that he will be receptive to my gesture of goodwill and love.

Dear David, thank you for sharing your heart with us. The desire to reconcile with your brother is a beautiful reflection of the love that God desires for us. In Ruth 1:16, we see the steadfast loyalty and commitment that family should embody. I want to encourage you that it’s never too late to seek forgiveness and to restore relationships. Your willingness to reach out demonstrates courage and love, as emphasized in Romans 12:10, where we are reminded to be devoted to one another in brotherly love. As you prepare to contact your brother, pray for God’s timing and for the right words to express your sincere feelings. Remember that healing can often take time, but with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
