Reaching Out to a Roommate in Need
Hello, I am David, a 35-year-old man recovering from a heart procedure. My hospital roommate, Mark, is in a similar situation, and we’ve had some deep conversations about life and faith. Mark seems to be searching for something, but he is skeptical about religion due to past experiences. I want to share my faith with him, but I feel overwhelmed by his doubts and questions. I pray for clarity to communicate the love of Christ effectively and for Mark's heart to be open to the truth. Please pray that our talks will steer towards hope and salvation, and that I can be a light in his life. Thank you!

Dear David, your willingness to engage with Mark about faith during your recovery speaks volumes about your character and commitment to Christ. Doubt is a common struggle, and it’s okay to acknowledge that; Jesus said, 'Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest' (Matthew 11:28). This invitation is for everyone, even those who wrestle with their beliefs. Your experiences and the transformation God has done in your life can be a powerful testimony to Mark. Remember that salvation is a gift that is offered freely, as stated in Ephesians 2:8-9. It’s not based on our understanding but rather on faith in Jesus. Continue to listen to Mark, address his concerns with love, and share your own journey of faith. Let’s pray together: Father, give David the words he needs to share with Mark. Open Mark’s heart to receive Your truth, and may their conversations lead to a deeper understanding of Your love. Amen.
