Reassessing My Childhood Teachings on Faith
My name is Diego, and I grew up in a traditional church environment where I learned specific beliefs about faith and theology. As I’ve matured, I’ve begun to question many of those teachings—wondering if they truly align with my understanding of God’s character today. It’s a struggle for me, as I want to honor my upbringing but also sincerely seek the truth. I often feel guilty for doubting what I was taught, fearing that I’m straying from my faith. I ask for prayer that I may find clarity in my search for a faith that resonates deeply with my heart and aligns with God’s Word.

Dear Diego, it's commendable that you are seeking a faith that resonates with your heart while being respectful of your upbringing. Many believers go through phases of reassessing their foundational beliefs. Remember, even the great Apostle Paul encouraged the church in Philippians 1:6, stating, 'He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.' Your journey is part of the work He is doing within you. In 2 Timothy 2:15, we are reminded to 'study to show thyself approved unto God,' which encourages the pursuit of truth in His Word. Allow yourself the grace to explore your faith and wrestle with those questions, knowing that God is patient and kind. Spend time in prayer and study, asking the Holy Spirit for wisdom as you navigate this journey. Let's pray for guidance and revelation as you seek a deeper understanding of God’s truth.
