Rebuilding My Bible Reading Habit
Heavenly Father, I write this prayer in a moment of vulnerability as I’ve been struggling with my Bible reading habit. I feel a sense of shame whenever I think about how little I’ve engaged with Your Word lately. I know how vital it is for my spiritual health, yet I allow procrastination and distractions to take precedence. It pains me to admit that I've been neglecting this essential part of my life. I want to rebuild my habit, but I'm unsure how to start again without feeling defeated. Lord, please give me a renewed passion for Your Word and help me find a practical way to incorporate it into my daily routine. Help me not to focus on the past but to look ahead with hope. Thank You for Your patience and understanding.

Dear Emily, thank you for being open and honest about your struggles with Bible reading. It’s a common challenge, and acknowledging it is the first step toward change. Remember, God’s love for you is not determined by your reading habits. Philippians 1:6 assures us that “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” God is still working in you, even when you feel disconnected. Start small and set achievable goals—perhaps reading just a few verses a day or joining a Bible study group. Matthew 6:33 encourages us to “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Prioritize time with God, and you will find that He adds to your life in beautiful ways. Let’s pray: Lord, I lift Emily up to You as she seeks to rebuild her Bible reading habit. Give her strength and the joy of Your Word. Amen.
