Rekindling Faith After Losing Home and Hope
I’m Rafael, a 51-year-old husband and father. My family lost our home in a landslide, and it feels as though our lives have been swept away. Everything was destroyed: our memories, our sense of security, and even our faith seems shaken. I find it difficult to pray or trust in God’s plan during this time. I used to be a strong believer, but now I feel lost. I ask for prayer to help me regain my faith and to find a new purpose as we begin to rebuild our lives.

Dear Rafael, thank you for sharing your heart in such a vulnerable way. It’s completely understandable to feel shaken after such a devastating loss. Remember, as believers, our faith does not shield us from suffering, but God promises to be with us in our trials (Romans 8:28). He can work through our pain for a greater purpose. Jesus assures us in John 16:33 that we will have tribulations, but He has overcome the world. I encourage you to take small steps back into prayer and worship, even when it feels difficult. Your faith can be rekindled through community support and the Word of God. I will pray for you and your family, asking God to restore your hope and help you find purpose in this journey of rebuilding.
