Rekindling My Fading Passion for Ministry
Dear friends, I am reaching out because I feel like I am losing my passion for ministry during my time in seminary. Initially, I was so excited to serve God and connect with others, but now I find myself feeling overwhelmed and distant from my calling. I struggle with doubts about my abilities and often question whether I am really meant to be a pastor. The burdens of coursework and the expectations to perform well weigh heavily on my heart. I miss the joy I once felt in sharing God’s love and the hope of the Gospel with others. I pray for clarity on my purpose and the strength to renew my passion for ministry. Please pray for me as I seek to find joy in my calling again.

Dear Eli, thank you for being so open about your struggles. It’s important to remember that even the most dedicated servants can face seasons of doubt and uncertainty. You are not alone in this journey; even the Apostle Paul faced moments of vulnerability (2 Corinthians 12:9). As you seek to rekindle your passion, I encourage you to lean on God’s Word, as Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Take time to pray and immerse yourself in Scripture, asking God for the wisdom you seek (James 1:5). Remember, our faith is not defined by our feelings but by the steadfast love of Christ that holds us (Romans 8:39). Let’s pray together: Lord, I ask you to breathe new life into Eli’s heart, renewing his passion for ministry and guiding him back to his purpose. Amen.
