Rekindling My Passion for Ministry
I’m a seasoned pastor who has been in ministry for over twenty years, but recently, I’ve started to feel a sense of burnout. The joy I once found in preaching and leading has been overshadowed by stress and doubt. I often question whether I am fulfilling my calling or if I’ve just become comfortable in my routine. I want to rekindle the passion I once had for ministry and find direction in my calling again. Please pray that God would light a fire in my heart and open my eyes to new opportunities to serve Him and my community.

Dear Thomas, thank you for your heartfelt request. It’s commendable that you recognize the need for renewal in your spirit. Remember, God is faithful and can reignite the passion within you. In Revelation 3:15-16, He asks us to be 'hot or cold,' not lukewarm. This is a reminder that God desires our whole heart in service. Lean into His Word, and let His spirit guide you. Philippians 1:6 reassures us that He who began a good work in you will complete it. Take time to explore new ways to engage with your congregation and serve your community. Sometimes a new approach can reignite our passion. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, awaken Thomas’s heart and reignite His passion for ministry. Guide him toward new opportunities where he can serve with joy. Amen.
