Releasing Anxiety Before Marriage
My name is Sarah, and I’m 26 years old. I am engaged to the love of my life, but with the wedding date approaching, I find myself consumed with anxiety. The fear of commitment is taking over, and I keep thinking about what could go wrong. My doubts are sabotaging my excitement for what should be an incredibly joyful time. I want to be fully present and embrace this new chapter, but my mind is racing with insecurities. I’m reaching out for prayer to help me find peace and clarity as I prepare to commit to my partner. I need God’s guidance to silence these fears and focus on love instead.

Dear Sarah, thank you for being honest about your feelings. Weddings are supposed to be a joyous occasion, but it’s common to feel anxiety as such a significant life change approaches. Remember that God is with you in every step of this journey. In Isaiah 41:10, He reassures us not to fear, for He is our God. This is a time to embrace love and trust in His plan for your marriage. Lean on Him for guidance, and remember what Philippians 4:6-7 says about presenting your requests to God. He will provide you with His peace. Let’s pray: Father, I lift Sarah up to You as she prepares for her wedding. Remove her anxieties and fill her heart with Your love. Guide her in this transition, and bless her union. Amen.
