Resilience Amidst Financial Struggles After Job Loss
After 20 years in a stable job, I was laid off, and it feels devastating. At 50, I didn't expect to be navigating the job market again. I've been trying to stay afloat financially, but my savings are dwindling, and I fear for my family's security. I feel like I’m a burden to my spouse, who is working extra hours to support us. Please pray that I find a job that not only meets our financial needs but also allows me to use my skills and experience meaningfully. I am also praying for peace during this stressful time and for the strength to not lose hope.

Dear Linda, it’s understandable to feel overwhelmed during such a challenging time. Remember that God is our refuge and strength (Psalms 46:1). He sees your struggles and will provide for your needs as you seek Him. I encourage you to lean on His promises, for He has said in Philippians 4:19, 'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' Your worth is not defined by your job, but by the love God has for you. He is also aware of your feelings of being a burden; I encourage you to communicate openly with your spouse. Together, you can support one another as God guides you through this season of job searching. Let’s pray for clarity and strength as you seek new opportunities and for peace in your heart during this storm.
