Restoration from Generational Trauma
I'm Mary, a 30-year-old wife and mother struggling under the weight of trauma that has been passed down in my family. My grandparents endured violence, and that pain trickled down to my parents, shaping their relationships and, in turn, my marriage. I'm afraid that my own children will face similar issues if I don’t find a way to heal. Please pray that I can confront and process these generational scars, allowing God to work in my heart. I yearn for restoration—not only for myself but for my entire family. I want to create a legacy of love instead of pain.

Dear Mary, your desire for healing and restoration is commendable. Acknowledging the pain of the past is the first step towards breaking free from its grip. Remember that God is a God of restoration. He promises in Joel 2:25, 'And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.' This promise is for you and your family. Embrace this truth as you seek to heal, and share your journey with your loved ones. In 1 Peter 4:8, we are encouraged to 'have fervent charity among ourselves.' Allow your family to join you in this healing process, supporting one another with love. I pray that God grants you peace as you work towards healing and that He transforms your family's future into one of love and unity.
